Okay, Fun in Waikiki??? What can I say taking a stroll through the side streets or main road can be quite adventurous added bonus when with the right crowd. You can enjoy the fresh air, side performances (street entertainers), beautiful scenery and music that flow from the different shops/stores/bars. Looking for a place to get a quick bite and maybe music to the ears you can stop by Lulus which is right across from the infamous beach"walls"; they offer a variety of foods, drinks and friendly workers. if you are wanting something a little more romantic to enjoy with a partner yo can stroll on down to The Royal Shopping Center where you can enjoy a wonderful romantic dinner at Wolfgang Steak House; various cuts of meats (tomahawk best) and delicious sides to accompany your course, all of which can also be paired with a variety of wines that they offer. If you are like me like to sing enjoy meeting people and overall just having a grand time passing on no judgement to any others then head on down to Tapas its a local bar well known to the area. Tapas have great deals on food and drinks; yes food they have a kitchen that you can order delicious food to go as entrees or pupus whichever you prefer. The crowd I go with absolutely LOVES to sing which is another benefit to Tapas they have a room with 4 tables and 2 mics to continue your night of fun with singing; $1 a song which isn’t bad at all. Are you up for it; check it out while visiting or staying.
A classic would have to be a night at Dukes and a few cocktails. Get there early for the sunset and they have some music.
Rum Fire in the Sheraton Waikiki is a little more hip (is that even a word anymore? lol) and a great ambience.
I’m definitely a fan of just wandering the streets and soaking up the vibes of Waikiki. The street entertainment is fun and if you are there on a Friday make sure you get a good view of the Hilton Fireworks at 9pm.
